Back in November I asked what pottery company made the Nixon mug for Rumph. I received no responses. Does anyone have any information of the Nixon mug?

I believe McCoy mass-produced it for Rumph.

The Nelson McCoy Pottery was contacted by Jim Rumph to make the Nixon mug. The company made a few for test purposes but the deal with Rumph fell through. Some other pottery actually mass-produced the mug. Can anyone give me a clue as to what pottery actually made the mug or any details concerning its production.

I sold these products as the "sales manager" early on from n.y to san fran .... and as far as I know it was California Originals which at the time ,according to Steve Cram, one of Jim's business associates, was the largest producer of inexpensive ceramics in the US. They developed the molding process and as long as I was associated with the company produced the product.hope this helps. Fred fredsbates@yahoo.com
