I was wondering if there has been any kind of list compiled that shows average values of the many Rumph pieces. I am new to the Rumph world and have been turned into an instant Rumphile. I have the Obi-wan tankard (being a huge star wars fan), am looking to get the Chewie and Vader eventually, and i recently bought the Cross Eyed Ogre tankard at a yard sale for $5.00 I just want a general price guide that will aid me when making future Rumph purchases.

I haven't seen a guide, I sure hope someone else posts...by the way, if you check out ebay there are a couple of cross eyed tankards listed and I believe you got a VERY good deal on yours! Good luck!

Jedichef, Up until this website came out, I made a Rumph Guide with Pictures, dates, marks, and average prices. I tracked the ebay selling prices for 6 years. On the more common items, I quit tracking prices after getting plenty of prices to average. For your Obi, I had in my latest 2004 book that it averaged $69 for sales in 1998/99. For the Crosseyed that figure was $34. If you find your Darth and Chewey, the figures will be $62, and $68. These are all based on prices between 1998/99. I include a Leia, and Khan in my book, but never got verification of their existance, only rumors. This site lists prices on some of the pictured items, check them out. I saw no use for my book after this site was started, and have given them much of the information that I had. Paul (Rumph Guide) De Belling

thanks very much for the input. i grew up in the south bay during the 70's and 80's, and the idea that I could very well have crossed paths with Jim Rumph makes me smile.

I used to have avg price listed on the site, but took it down as that price seemed to be driving the market. I still have all the data and could provide you the info on individual pieces.
All the Star Wars pieces (minus the R2D2) go fo rabout $35.

i just picked up a Headless Maiden tankard for $3 at thrift store. and won an ebay auction for the Superman tankard for $58(+$8 shipping) . I know the Headless Maiden is a great steal, but i was curious about the price i'm paying for the Superman.

I can tell you that you got a good deal on both on ebay. I've seen the Harvey go for over three hundred and the Nixon for over two. It seems like the market is going down. The real answer is what ever someone will pay for it and needs in their collection. I bought an ashtray for 250, years ago and the same "nicodemos" sic....is going for 150 average on ebay. If you love them and want them than just set your limit and wait they are always coming up.
